  2. Hmm, not much info on Ayuthaya via Wikipedia… but thought this was intersesting “The city was founded in 1350 by King U-Thong and became capital of his kingdom. The king came to escape smallpox outbreak in Lop Buri.” Later destroyed by the Burmese in 1767 or 1768…. Smallpox, huh… didn’t realize it ravaged Asia as well… and boy, the Burmese–have they always been that destructive? Their history is full of fighting…

    I like ruins. Plenty of them in Ireland. Me love. I also wanna see all the petroglyphs of the American Southwest.
